Nocow - Magnit
Following the spacious contours of ‘Youth’, Nocow returns to harder ground with ‘Magnit’, released via P-TON. Across four tracks, broken melodies, acid pressure and tightly programmed rhythms push his sound into darker, more mechanical territory.
‘Magnit S’ opens with scattered low-end hits, driving arpeggios and restless percussion, setting a tense, forward motion. ‘Kali’ pulls the energy inward, folding warped synths, modular textures and distant vocal fragments into a more fractured structure. ‘Sputnik’ accelerates again through bit-crushed sequences and metallic chimes, balancing urgency with precise control.
The closing track, ‘Extasy’, slows the momentum into a dense haze of vocoder passages and weightless percussion. A controlled descent after the pressure of the preceding tracks, it brings the record to a fitting close. ‘Magnit’ is a compact study in tension, movement and release, revealing another sharply defined side of Nocow’s sound.
